For this week, I went down the rabbit hole of Wikipedia, here are the articles I read for this:
I start with Video Game Development because we've been talking about first playable's and alphas so I decided to look into it. I found that creating a game cost a lot, in 2010 it cost $20 million, I knew games cost a lot but I never thought it was $20 million ! I kept reading until I found overtime.
Overtime, also know as Crunch, I've heard all about it in the recent months so I decided to check out what Wikipedia says about it. The article goes over what it is and how they laws to prevent companies from resorting to overtime. The page also talks about the laws in jurisdiction, which talks about the laws in the EU, the USA and other countries.
This Led to me to labour laws. I looked into them because I wanted to know about labour laws and how they work. I was also interested in the history of labour laws, as I did research a photographer who did a photo essay on Child labour.
This finally led me to Dr Thomas Percival, who campaign for better labour laws in Manchester. I wanted to know more about him because I found it interesting that he fought for the working class in those days, most people didn't care about the humans at the bottom and with him being a doctor I expected he was from a middle class family at least. I also wanted to known more about Dr Percival because I had never heard of him before and I wanted to see who he was.
So Yeah I went down a weird yet well-worth trail.
